The National Institute for Patient Rights is dedicated to helping patients assert their rights at the hospital bedside without alienating their providers. As part of our social mission, we disclose little-known or hidden resources that patients and advocates can use to improve communications, voice concerns, mediate conflicts, and address medical mistakes without resorting to lawyers.
We would warmly welcome any input from healthcare providers to help us realize this mission, such as doctors, nurse practitioners, case managers, nurses, social workers, psych services, etc. We would greatly appreciate any insights that would enhance the ability of patients and advocates to protect and promote their rights ‘at the bedside,’ while preventing the violation of patient rights.
